Going to the Dentist – What to Expect

Whether it’s your first dentist appointment ever or the first in awhile, you will begin your appointment by filling out paperwork. The forms you fill out will detail your medical history and personal information, along with insurance information.
You will then be taken back to the exam room where the doctor will lean you back in the chair and shine a bright light toward your mouth. Frequently, a suction device resembling a large straw will be placed in your mouth to eliminate any excess saliva. This is a noisy tool, but will not hurt a bit.
